Redwood Biotech's on-site drug screening devices are easy to use! Please follow the simple instructions below.

Remove device from foil pouch

Pull plastic cup from device

Dip revealed sample pads into urine sample for a minimum of 15-30 seconds until urine is seen wicking into the reading zone. Make sure each pad is dipped into the specimen to the level of the wavy lines without touching the plastic card to the urine.

 

Remove the device from the urine and replace the plastic cap.
 

Read test results at 5 minutes. (Do not interpret results after 4 hours as false results may occur. Note: Any line at all in the test zone is to be interpreted as negative.)

Color line appears
in Test (T) Zone

 

Positive
No Color line appears
in Test (T) Zone

 

Invalid
Color line must appear in Control (C) Zone for test to be valid
 

Sending Presumptive Positive Specimens to SOS for GC/MS Confirmation
  1. Perform the on-site test according to the instructions provided above.

     
  2. Complete the Preliminary Results Form, indicating the positive and negative test results. Make sure the donor signs the form.

     
  3. Secure the positive specimen in the bottle. To prevent leakage, make sure the lid is threaded properly and tightly fastened.

     
  4. Place the security seal over the top of the bottle.

     
  5. Fill out the Specimen ID/Chain of Custody Label and indicate the positive drug(s) on the line marked "GC/MS Confirm:___________".

     
  6. Place the label on the bottle.

     
  7. Instruct the donor to initial the security seal.

     
  8. Seal the bottle in a plastic baggie with the absorbent material.

     
  9. Make a copy of the Preliminary Results Form and place it in the DHL/Airborne bag (five or more specimens) or the mailer box (fewer than five specimens) with the specimen.

     
  10. Send to SOS for GC/MS confirmation.

     

   

*Please do not send negative specimens to SOS for confirmation. Negative specimens will not be confirmed.
